In Search Of All-Star Mickey Mouses

Well, the baseball season is less than a month old, but already, I'm looking forward to this year's All-Star game, not just because it's in Anaheim this year, but that I signed up to volunteer to work the whole week.

I've done it before, working as a driver during the NHL All-Star game in 2002, which was one of the most enjoyable times I've had since my time volunteering at what's now the Northern Trust Open at the famed Riviera Country Club.

I usually don't have to worry about the volunteer stuff until June, but in the meantime I'm going to start some explorations throughout the region since Major League Baseball announced that they were going to be placing three dozen seven-foot tall Mickey Mouse statues decorated in the logos of all 30 MLB teams, the All Star logos and a couple of other designs. (You can see some of the small replicas that the MLB Shop is selling on their website right now.)

I am going to keep track of every one of these statues and if possible, take a photo with them, hopefully I can have a picture with all 36 statues before the All-Star Game.

Stay tuned to see if I am successful...
